Hi to all my fellow bloggers,
The end of the day and the start of a new week. I am so excited as literally in 7 sleeps time, just like a little girl I will be seeing a performer who over the years has shaped the person I am today.
I left school in year 10 to work, money was what I wanted. I did not value education, but who does in hindsight, they say it is a wonderful thing. Yet here I am blogging away, through University studies to say that I will be seeing this wonderful performed live!!
When I got my very first paycheck (yes, back then it was money in a envelope!! – I’m not that old.. 42 in fact), I bought her CD.
The up’s and down’s of what life gives us is what it is. One day my papa looked at me, and saw what was going on in my life at the time, and it was a difficult time to say the least. I could not afford to buy her new CD. Papa looked at me and said “Go buy the CD, she makes you happy, when your happy, I’m happy”
My dear papa passed away on August 7, 5 years ago next month. Irony is strange, when I see her with a great friend, it will be 1 week off from that horrible loss.
Celine will without a doubt sing “My heart will go on” and in that instant I know I will cry, because at the end of the day, my heart is always to the one man who loved me for who I am today.. God bless my papa
